This year the Multicultural Studies Association (MSA) at Southwood colledted toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys For Tots campaign. The drive started on December 4th and culminated on December 15th. Approximately 400 toys were collected for disadvantaged youth in our community. MSA rewarded the two classes that collected the most toys during the campaign with a free breakfast.
First Place: Ms. J. Thomas's homeroom class donated the most (109) and will be congratulated with a MSA Grand Slamm Breakfast, served by MSA members, Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 8:45am in the cafeteria. Menu includes grits, biscuits, sausage, scrambled eggs!
Second Place: Ms. Laskowski's homeroom were the runner ups and will receive Krispy Kreme donuts and juice.
