True to his word, Southwood High School Principal, Ken Wood, kissed a pig in the quad of the high school on April 22, 2010. Mr. Wood had previously pledged to kiss the pig if the students met their donations goal on a recent fund raiser. The fund raiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, sponsored by SHS BioTech Academy, raised $7,368.74 to help find a cure for blood cancer. Congratulations to all the students of Southwood that donated to this worthy cause and kudos to Mr. Wood for
being such a good sport and fulfilling his pledge.
