THINGS POSSIBLE
Without the community support and the generous donations from those corporations
and individuals with a vision for what Southwood can become, we would not have
some of the programs and opportunities that are available today at Southwood.

As an example, the Biotechnology Magnet program partnered with the Biomedical Research Foundation, Louisiana State University Health Center and a number of other participating industries to develop the program that we enjoy today. Just recently, our participating students in the Biotech program received some laptops for use in their Biotech course work.
Southwood enjoyed a wonderful Teacher's Appreciation Week thanks to the added donations from the Business community. Barnhills, Graduate Sales, Posada's Cafe and many individuals came together to provide a full lunch for our Teacher's throughout the week.
Our Orchestra is planning a concert trip to Atlanta, Georgia and several of our other organizations are busy planning ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES for our students. All require funding that is not in our normal school budget.
AND THEN THERE WERE FUNDRAISERS.
Every year, we are faced with the need to fund our projects and most of our organizations do this through fundraisers. Some ask for outright donations from civil minded individuals and of course Southwood is always interested in someone stepping forward to present us an opportunity to improve our programs.

This page on our website offers you the opportunity to make a donation to Southwood High School through the SOUTHWOOD PTSA PAYPAL ACCOUNT. You can enter any amount that you wish and pay through your paypal account or a major credit card. Southwood never see's your personal information as transactions are done by Paypal.
If you want to make your donation specific to a particular club or organization, please make a note on the comment section of the paypal form and the PTSA will transfer that amount, less the paypal processing fees to the program you are donating to. This is a service to our school by the PTSA and all funds that are donated are used for school improvements unless specifically noted in your donation.
IN KIND DONATIONS ARE NEEDED AS WELL
